Required Tools Shopping List Nothing's better on a cool morning than bare feet on a cozy carpet, keeping your toes off the cold, cold floor. Bare wood may be beautiful, but carpeting both looks good and feels good. It brings design to a spartan room, it adds warmth to a chilly room, and it even provides quiet in a echoing room. But putting down carpet can be daunting to the do-it-yourselfer. Fortunately, the process isn't that difficult, whether you rent the tools or hire a pro to do the work for you.
Problem carpet tack strips- looking for alternative or solution to problem Hi all, I have several locations in my home where a carpet edge meets wood flooring. The tack strips along the edge of the carpet are a problem in that anyone without a shoe on is constantly getting pricked by the tacks through the carpet along these edges. Quite honestly I have never experienced or heard an issue with this being a common problem, so I'm sure it has much to do with the type of strips used, or a poor installation job. I'm looking to keep this from happening any way that I can and looking for recommendations from knowledgeable folks. I realize this may be as simple as "take a hammer to it", to make sure the tacks are not pointing up at a dangerous angle or position, but wanted to get some advice before doing anything. Is there an alternative to tacks trips, any kind of tape or glue? Or something that I can do to keep this from happening?
You can attach carpeting to stairs using tack strips. This length of narrow wood is studded with spikes angled in one direction to grip the material. Mark this point on the step lightly using a pencil. These strips are usually 48 inches long. Divide the length of each strip in two and mark those locations lightly in pencil as the center points.
Janine, your hot baby. Keep it together and please no more ink. I love your work. Have you ever considered doing a scene with a fan? I\'m available most evenings and rates are very reasonable. How about a live show? But make your show huge, something that hasn\'t been done. Have it at a nice sized venue, sell tickets, big screen TV\'s all around, a rotating stage right in the center and then of course the reason everybody\'s there you. Janine imagine, you\'re on stage preforming, amazing everyone there. Having interaction with the crowd, it\'d be great, let me know. xo russ
I worked at the county jail for a while. It was just a gig job while I found something else to do. I think with about half of my prisoners, they should have just skipped it. And I think we had a good percentage that were busted for more than they really did.
